Hmmmm.... That question is a really hard one...
ReplyDeleteYou see, every year I've been at PCMS, I've done nothing but slack off. I know I can't change the past, but I want to change the present. Oh, and the future, too. I will use my time to become smarter (if that's possible, since I'm SO SMART for my age... hahaha! Just kidding!), more organized, a dedicated student, and just a better person as a whole.
I will use all of this time with (hopefully) a positive attitude...
Oh, BTW, I'm glad you made me make a new gmail... I love the new gmail name I came up with.... Hahaha, it's vampymaddison@gmail.com... hahaha...
Thank You,
Maddison Harvey, 8-2
I completely agree with you. What we do now does affect our future. If we don't want to help our selves then no one can . The time to get motivated is now. The only way to be prepared is to make our dreams actions. Dreams+Actions=Reality

ReplyDeleteThis question repeated throughout my years here at P.C.M.S. by many people in school and out of it.
ReplyDeleteMy answer is by being organized and paying good attention. I will have both good, no make that great behavior and grades. I will not get on A.I.M. like last year and I will try my best on all tests!

ReplyDeleteI will use my time by studiying for tests and doing my homework evryday. I am also going to be prepared and not be lazy like the past years. I will change myself to reach all the standards everyone sets for me. By that I mean I will get orginized and deticate my free time to school work.

ReplyDeleteI will use my time more wisely and pay more attention at each one of the clases. Another thing that I will do is be more organised and use my agenda more so that I dont forget what is my homework, but most importantly I will study for test because those are the ones that really help you.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Martha sometimes because we are lazy we dont try our best and dont do our homework but from know own I will not be lazy anymore.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Doris with the agenda. That's because most people have their agenda but they only use it for a couple of times and just forget about it. Also others loose the agenda and so they don't even use it. That's why we don't do our homeworkbecause we forget it.
ReplyDeleteI think the way I should prepare for college is by using my class time more effectively and getting my agenda more involved in school work.
ReplyDeleteYour right Calvin I think I should pay more attention in class and prepare more for my tests too.
ReplyDeleteI will use my time more wisely in middle school in order to prepare for college. I will also try to study harder for my tests. In the past couple of years I have gotten a few bad grades on a few unit tests. The final thing i will try to do to prepare for college now is become more organized. Ive lost a few papers in the past and I want to change that before I loose something important that could affect my future. (In a negative way)
ReplyDeleteI think you all have great ideas thus far! Let's keep them going!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Doris, sometimes I am too lazy to take out my agenda and think to myself, "oh, I'll remember the homework!" Then when I get home I question myself, "What was my homework?" This year I will try to use my agenda in every class and for every assignment.
ReplyDeleteI Will Use My Time More Wisely These Year By Beeing Involved More Into The Conversations That Are Discussed In The Classrooms. Another Thing I Will Do Is Pay Alot More Attencion To The Concepts That Are Learned In The Clasrooms And Also Ask Thee Teacherr About Any Specific Idea That I Dont Understand To The Fullest, How I Shouldd. I Think It Is Really Important To Stay Organized With The Assignments That Are Passed Out. Something That Us(The Students)Should Cheep In Mind Is That This Is Not Only In Social Studies Class But In Every Other Class Too.

ReplyDeleteIn My Opinion All Of My Classmates Are Right, Butt I Will Use Doris Idea To Be More Especific In My Writing.I Think Studing Before A Test Is A Really Good Mind Refresher Because Sometimes I Forget How Important The Tests Are. Now That We Are In 8 Grade I Think We Shouid Get More Organized Likee Doris And Other Classmates Sayed Before. One Of The Thing That Will Help Us Is Using More Our Agenda Because It Will Keep Us From Forgetting Our Homework. Like Everybody Else Sometimes I Forget To Put It In My Backpack And It Helps Me To Write It In My Agenda And Checking I Have Everything I Need Before Going To Sleep Or Before Going To School In The Morning. These Are My Opinions About My Classmates Comments.
ReplyDelete-.Erika.Bueno.
How will i prepare? Well i might first take my time more seriously and try not to rush like my previous years. Along with this i'll also take every test like it were a college exam and try my best:)(:!
ReplyDeleteWell...I would just stop fooling around too much and start to work more on things from school also I'll try not to go to fast and slow down a bit. Also recheck my work after im done with it.But most important try as hard as I can
ReplyDeleteBelieving in your self and not giving up are always things you can do for a successful future! Project Chrysalis is an awesome school that right away prepares you for collage and we all should take advantage of that! I believe that being determined in other words strong minded and knowing your purpose in life are the most important things that can help me prepare for collage; and with the help of our GREAT teachers we will reach or goals! :)
ReplyDelete-DiaNa
For My Future Success...
ReplyDeleteEver Since I've Began Middle School I've Set Goals For My Self. With Hard Work And Dedication I've Successfully Reached Them With No Problems Along The Way. I'll Simply Keep Setting Goals, Keep Track Of All The Things I Do. And Most Importantly, With Hard Work And Dedication I Know I'm Able To Get There.
How would I prepare? I would prepare by staying focused and listen to my new teachers. I will use my time effectively to understand more than what I need to. All these thing will benefit mine and anybody's years through college.
ReplyDeleteto succed i need to start to work harder because if i dont i know i wll slack off and forget about work. i know its hard to be organize in school and i will start using my planner more than i did the last two years. in eight grade you have to be more responsible and i KNOW i will be and you also have to be the leader of the campus. to succed i will also take it slow and wont rush through the home work becuase it leads to projects and quizes. i'll take class more seriously so i can improve in my listening skills.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everybody! :) I really think that Writing the homework down, and paying more attention are extraordinary ideas!:)
ReplyDeletewow
biqq word! haha
I completely agree with Martha. Sometimes we are often way to lazy, we forget about the things we are given to successfully reach our goals in life. But change is good! turn your self around! Becoming a better person will not be a regret.

ReplyDeleteI think that everybody has a great idea about what they can do better.
ReplyDeletei agree with loreypablo, michael, daniel aka something:
ReplyDeletewe should stop fooling around and get to work and ignore the people who try to get us out of focus.i also agree to michael because if we dont listen we wont get anything acomplish. and daniel aka____ because we should use our planers more
Well, I would pay more attention, ask questions, and always be prepared. I say this because, like you said today, I want to be part of that 7% and finish collage all the way and get an awesome career. I want to life life awesome, like you said and, that cannot happen without going to collage. So people who are reading this I really encourage you to star getting ready now so you will go to collage later on. Were here to LEARN!!!
ReplyDelete-NAIR0 :)
i would just be organized because if you are organized you can keep track of important work and tests, that way you can get ready for them.not only that, but you can get less marks meaning less trouble which leads to stress and thats something you dont want.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Daniel(a.k.a the gun show) I always rushed all my previous years and never really paid attention on ms. Robinson's class (Although she was an awesome teacher). 6th grade was a crazy year. And I want 7th grade to be different, for example more funner but at the same time i want to learn what I need to learn!!! :)
ReplyDelete-nairo lara
i think what michael said is right everyone can learn different ways which means they can still go to college with their own strategy. after what count is that it works, its not like cheating, and the person who uses it is comfortable with it
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteby the way people follow me i am not posting things yet but i will soon just have to find something to write about
ReplyDeleteI concur with Andreina. I have set many goals for myself and have only reach a few. But this year I will concentrate on what is important and my priority is to have outstanding grades this last year here at PCMS.
ReplyDeleteA way I would think of using my time at Project Chrysalis to prepare for college is by asking questions to understand the lesson, taught that day, fully. Since last year there were a lot of times when I went home and just didn’t feel like I could complete the homework because I either didn’t remember what we learned that day or didn’t understand at all. As well, another way I know would help me this year is to get in the habit of taking notes, since a book can’t really go that far into an explanation on a subject like a professor or teacher can, jotting down some of their words and reviewing them for that unit would help me become as prepared as any college student. Of course all successful people have had to study from one time or another, but maybe I will study with a teacher when I really am confused, because they know how to explain in a way for you to understand, that’s another way I could use my time to become a ready-for-college student.
ReplyDeleteAnd knowing that studying, questioning what I don’t understand, and taking notes is what it takes to be successful, only drives me more to do these things to be prepared for my college years.
I would most definitely use my time in project chrysalis to prepare me in college by just simply do my best!!! While I’m performing, and taking action of doing my best by doing the little simple rules we have to day. Three rules someone always told me are: 1) Listen to your mom and dad, including your teacher. 2) Do your best. 3)Most importantly have fun!!! While attending PCMS, teachers are there to guide us through middle school, college and in life. We have very useful and important tools and items such as, our agenda planners, notes, textbooks, and etc. I’ll work hard and do my best as a student and a person in anything and everything I do. How much time and effort we put in our work, shows how much we accomplished in learning. Most of all, have fun!!! =D =))
ReplyDeleteI think that starting to prepare for college is a great idea.Since we have such great opportunities here at PCMS we should use them to start planning for our future. For example I know i may have slacked off a little last year, and this year i will be organized, i will do my home work, and i will come to school on time and everyday
ReplyDeleteWell this is my third and last year in PCMS. Over the years i have started to learn from my mistakes, now i know what i have to do in order to be successful. I will start using my time in class effectively and get all my work in, in time. I have noticed that i usually start slaking off but i dont want to do that anymore. I actually want to keep going good through the whole year. I wont be lazy like i was before and i will actually study for my test in order for me to get a good grade. I will do my best to keep up with all my things and be organized. I noticed that i start getting disorganized over time and next thing i know i have papers every where. Well since that happens to me alot i will try to keep all my things in order so i can be successful.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to what Savannah is talking about, because last year i was confused at many time, and i just didn't bother to ask questions :( Due to that i felt my grades being affected by my confusion.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Eulise on this one. I think its a great idea to start getting our agendas more involved. Usually we just get them and in no time they are gone and we have no idea were they are. I think we should start using them more in order to be more organized with our school work.(:
ReplyDelete----Josselyn(:
With teachers like this who work extremely work hard for us, come on, we should work hard but not only for them. It should be cuz we want to. Mr. Stocker is right. We don't appreciate the fact that this is OUR time. Right now. We waste so much time goofing and playing around and we don't realize that this will be our only chance as youths to be fully prepared for college. Instead of laughing along with our friends and making jokes we could simply tell them to stop and remind them how lucky they are to have this opportunity to learn that many people world-wide don't have. I will try my hardest to prove to Mr. Stocker as well as my other teachers that I'm prepared for college. I will use my planner effectively and responsibly unlike others who deny and throw it away. And I will be sure to turn in my homework daily
ReplyDeleteI will make sure to use my time wisely and work and study for tests on every opportunity I have, instead of just being lazy. Things that we do now can affect our future. I will always come prepared and ready to learn, every minute counts.
ReplyDeleteWell, I would change a lot of things to be successful in the future. I will do my homework all the times. In class I will pay more attention. In each class I will write notes if I have to because I can get help from them when I need them to study for the test.I will try my best to reach my goal and even pass it so I can show the others that I can do more than what other people expected from me.All of this just equals to have enough sleep for the next day. I say this because we need to come to school PREPARED READY TO LEARN, PARTICIPATE, AND ASK QUESTIONS!!!
ReplyDelete-Alba
I really admire what Martha De La Rosa said. I think that all of the things she explained are right and should be followed by everyone. I am sure that if she follows what she talked about she will be successful in college!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI have read, and gone over all of the other student's comments. I strongly hope that if they follow their ideas on how time at PCMC to get them through college. There are so may good ideas, but I would have to agree with Doris, Abraham Cruz, Kikaaa* loreypablo, Michael and Daniel(aka the Gunn Show [lolz love the name]). Their ideas reflect them, but also applies to me. The planner is a good tool, and can help me ALOT. I agree with the ideas of being more productive with my time, study for tests, be organized, participate in class, ask questions, take my time and not rush, be serious, and pay attention, and lots more!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Josselyn because when time passes we start getting lazier. I'm saying that we just don't care any more. It's true that she said we get really messy with the papers in our folders, binder, etc. Everything is true thats why we just need to work harder and better.Yes especially turning our homework on time to stay in track with the others.
ReplyDelete-Alba
Yesenia I think by getting here on time, especially for me, is a great idea because last year I would always be late and not really be exactly filled in on any new things. So this year I really need to beat school on time to get my homework checked for sure.
ReplyDeleteAnd Andreina I know I have also set so many goals for myself, I know many require me to do the best I can. With being the best now I know for sure will be worth it in my future, because college is the place where you go in as a kid and learn the ways of life like an adult.
I agree with Doris. I have not been using my agendo nor checking it before getting on AIM. I think that is how I have been getting those marks. I had beeter use it this year to help me. Thanks for remimding me Doris!!!
ReplyDeleteI would use pcms to help me in collage by using my time in a wisely matter. I will be more organized in my classes. Learning how to come on time in the morning. Learning how to ask more questions. Respecting my teachers. Do my home work on time. No matter how long or what I have to do to finished on homework on time.
ReplyDeletei agree with marlean because if the teachers work hard we should to.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI would try harder give valid efforts on all assignments. I would use the teachers advice and try to benifet it for college. I think by using our notes in class, study for tests, and do the homework. I know success is very essential for a great life. i plan to reach success at pcms
ReplyDeleteThis is my last year at PCMS. It may be very special to me but, it is also important to my studies. What this means is, I cant take this year for granted. Its my last chance to show that I can be a very organized student. So that way when I get to High School it wont be as hard to be responsible and organized. I will keep all of my belongings and responsibilities clean. This includes my locker, my backpack and my school work. I understand it takes hard work and dedication in order to be promoted for another lever. If this is what it takes for me to be prepared, then its going to be my main goal this year and I will achieve it!
ReplyDelete_Maria M.
I agree on the homework. Mariano has a great approach on the homework.Homework should be done no matter what
ReplyDeleteI Agree With Maddison. The Time Here At Pcms Should Be Used Wisely And Forgett The Past & And Start A New Present To Get A New Positive Future.
ReplyDeleteI consent with Johnathan..Because, in the last two years I also did not use my planner as much. And I am starting to envisage that this was one of my voluminous mistakes. And I believe that if I begin to use it I will be one step closer to being that classified student!
ReplyDeleteI would use my time in Pcms wisely. Well, what i do now will cause great impact on my future at college.Even though,im new here and this is my first year(7th) i realize that i have to come prepared to learn at school everyday. I chose to go to an exemplary school, and this means i chose to do exaplary work.Besides i came here for a better future this includes college. Therfore im going to do my best to be succesfull here , in high school, college and life. Hopefully this will be a great year that will prepare me for anything on my way.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI would use my time wisely in PCMS by studying real hard and giving 110% for everything. Also, I would take my time on exams that would get me into a good college.
ReplyDeleteI would have to agree to Daniel and Diana. I agree with them because like what Diana said, Project Chrysalis prepares us for college, and just because some of our parents didn't go to college, doesn't mean we don't have to. I agree with Daniel because in my past schools I tend to sometimes slack off. But here in PCMS, I'm gonna give it everything I got.
ReplyDeleteThrough out the two years that i've been in Project Chrysalis I have learned lots. I probably made mistakes in past two years, but I have learned from my mistakes and i won't make the same mistakes again. I will use my time in project chrysalis by using my time wisely, doing my work on time, and by paying atention to what he teachers teach us. I will study harder to get good grades and to be ready for whta's coming. 8th grade is not going to be easy if we don't all try our best. We have to motivate ourselfs. I will try even harder this year. I wil make sure that i won't waste my time staring off, being lazy, or by goofing off because this year i am ditermined that i will try my hardest to be number one. Since this is my last year here at Project Chrysalis I will be real sad, but the same time happy. When i leave ths campus beacuse its like i am liviing a part of my family here. This last year will be a great year for all us 8th graders. Just try your best I know this will be a succesful year!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... Lets see, the question was "How can we use our time at Project Chrysalis to make sure we are prepared for college?" This is my second year at PCMS and I have become a seventh grader. That is one celebration itself, and I know what to expect and what all of my teachers expect from me. Hopefully this year can be as big of a success in 7th grade as it was when I was in 6th grade. Some ways are simple and easy to do, but also challenging in some ways, such as listening in class, actually keeping all the information in my head and remembering it, have confidence in myself, trust my teachers and be glad that I have the opportunity to be in an Exemplary school. I chose to be in a great, successful school and i know i have to do great, successful work. I hope and plan to be a successful student and person throughout my life. That is how i think my time at PCMS will make me prepared for college.
ReplyDeletei agree with doris i need to be more orginized and i need to use and check my agendda everyday. I will do this so i won't forget to do my hoemwork. I haven't been using my planner evryday in the past years and that is somethuing i am going to chnage to have a better and organized future.
ReplyDeleteI would have to agree mostly with Izabelle. Its true, we do have to have fun while we are here, even though it might seem impossible to have "fun" in a school like ours. We also have to trust and listen to our parents and teachers, for they are going to guide us to the rest of our lives. How much effort and time we spend on our work, shows how much we will accomplish.
ReplyDeleteWell... i can say being at PCMS over the past years i have learn from my mistakes and i now im going to be more organized, ask questions, most importantly turn and do my best in my school work. This is my last year in PCMS which means that i am going to show all my teachers i have grown as a person and as a student i am going to give it my all this year to succeed in college. I am going to use my time wisely and pay attention in all my classes also use my agenda to write down all my homework so i wont forget it, and to turn it in on time to. The past years i have been lazy and slaking off in my of the classes but not this year I am going to listen to my teachers and show them we the 8th graders are leaders. I know i can do this and I am going to! :)
ReplyDeleteWe can use our time to prepare for college by knowing what your teachers expect from you, being prepared, and knowing what to do without anybody telling you and that will prepare you for college in the future because that is mostly what you need to do in order to pass through college and passing every grade levels that are coming.
ReplyDelete"How can we use our time at Project Chrysalis to make sure we are prepared for college?" - Calvin Stocker
ReplyDeleteInteresting question Mr. Stocker and my answer to that is simple; follow rules in campus, listen to the teachers, focus in class, pass all my classes, be a good scholar, and by doing this I will be prepared for college. In my past two years at Chrysalis I have learned from my mistakes and that has made me a stronger person mentally and physically; but I wouldn't be able to do this without the help, love, and support of my family, teachers and close friends.
i agree on this one with Jamilet everyone makes mistakes and we learn from them to if we put our all into it we can accomplish anything that comes through our way. With hard work and dedication we are going to be successful in high school and college.
ReplyDeleteHard work, dedication, and paying attention are the main things that im sure will help me prepare for college. By hard work i will get used to tryin my best now and for the future no matter how hard the work may be. If im dedicated to my school work I know I will also do so in college. By paying attention, well Ill gain for sure more knowledge and thats how im sure to be prepared.
ReplyDeleteI would have to agree to Mariano Mendoza because he has a excellent opinion to what I relate in my college future.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with michael, we do learn from mistakes nd they do make us stronger. Its also true that all of us wouldn't be able to do this without the great support from our teachers and the people we love.
ReplyDeleteFrom The Past 2 Years That I've Been In PCMS I Learned Many Things. One Thing Is To Always Do Your Best In Everything No Matter What It Is.So In Order To Use My Time Effectively At PCMS To Make Sure I Am Prepared For College I Will Focus More,Try Not To Do Things Last Minute,Give My 110% In All My Classes,Be More Organized,Be More Prepared And Listen To My Teachers.I Know That It Will Take Hard Work && Dedication But At The End It will Be Worth It.
ReplyDelete"How can we use our time at Project Chrysalis to make sure we are prepared for college?" Well ever since I started middle school at Project Chrysalis as a 6th grader, I knew I was in good hands, and I've set goals for my self every year. The way I met my goals in middle school will be the same way I will prepare and achieve my new goals in college. I have to use my time wisely, dedicate to my work, put effort in it, and listen to all my teachers. I know I've made mistakes, but this has helped me to grow stronger, just like my family, teachers and friends have helped me to succed.
ReplyDeleteEveryone has a good attitude and a good answer. We should all take these steps to success.
ReplyDeleteJulio Andrade...
ReplyDeleteMy beliefs have always been education is the key to success. With that said being the dedicated and motivated individual that I am. I will utilize all of the tools and challenges that Project Chrysalis has to offer. The acceptance to a highly recognized college is essential to my future and goals. Live and learn.

How would I Be prepared for college? I think that Project Chrysalis Middle School is preparing me for High School, and whatever highschool i go, that will prepare me more. Ever since i started Project Chrysalis, it got more difficult on me, but i told my self that i need to try because if i dont try i will fail, and as every year gets harder and harder. I am just going to keep trying harder and harder as this academic school year progressses. I think i will be prepared for college with the help of my teachers, my effort, my knowlege, and the fact that i can try harder every day.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Martha that we are lazy to do the work that the teachers give us but its all going to be worth it for our future.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree, everyone had key points. But, like that saying goes seeing is believing. I know as for me I have support from everywhere and everyone.
ReplyDeleteThe important thing is not to stop questioning.
Albert Einstein
It's true what all ppl said. But I think the most important thing is to have confidence and be positive that way u will have the ability to learn even better and have the courage to ask. If we don't get something or were confused, we could try comming for tutorials every morning or date assigned.
ReplyDeleteThanx, ):GiSEl(:
I agree with everybody here.We should use our time more wisely, here at PCMS, like for example do all of our homework, pay attention in school, study ,and more importantly, learn. You also need to be more confident, positive, and believe on your on work!
ReplyDeleteWhat we can do to make sure we are prepared for college.. We should take time to do the work techers give us. We should also listen to what the teachers have to teach us. To be honest we sometimes don't listen to the teacher and dont our work. But we should because at the end we won't only be prepared for college but for the life ahead of us.The life ahead of us to become sucessful adults in our future. Yes thats right OUR future! We are the only ones that can control it.No one can change our future or control it but our self.

These are the things we learn while being here in pcms.
As a 8th grader this is our last year here,i will use this last year here more wisely, i need to pay more attention in class,i noticed for the past years that ive been here at pcms ive been slaking off from that so i really need to improve on that. Also i want to do the homework at the same day that has been assigned to us. These quialities will help me prepare myself for college because my time here at pcms is like a small taste of what college is really made of.Dont you think?
-jacqueline manzano
Preparing for college can be hard if you are one of those students who do not do well in school. Well unless to be prepared for college you have to do all your homework, pay attention, get good grades and do what the teacher expects from you. I know that in project chrysalis the teachers are doing there best by challenging us to do harder things and very hard work. If you think that is not ok well I think you are thinking wrong because if you want to be well prepared for college then you have to do hard work. Do not rush on your homework just because you want to finish quickly. Take your time on your homework and revise it to see if your answers are correct. If you rush on your homework that is not going to be ok because doing that is not going to get you well prepared for college. so use your time wisely. The first time i entered project Chrysalis and went to all the classes I said to my self this school is a very good school and i think that i am going to be well prepared for college. I am so confidence in myself because I think that when I leave this school I am going to be well prepared for college with intelligence and very good grades.

ReplyDeletei agree with alejandra:8th grader. because what she talks about is what we need to do to get ready for college. also most of our teachers says the same things and there absolutely right. we just need to work hard and just achive our goals...
ReplyDeleteSince I have step foot on PCMS, I felt that I was going to make it through to 8th grade. In 6th grade, I was organized and ready, but in 7th, I started to be lazy and did not use my agenda. That was two years ago. Now that I am an 8th grader, I have high expectations for myself. I will use my agenda everyday until the school year ends. I will not focus on distractions. I will take notes when the teacher is writing on the board.I will turn in every single homework I get. I will ask for help when I do not understand something. I will ace the TAKS tests. I will pass my algebra and spanish ap classes to help me on the future. I will try my hardest to succeed. By doing all this I know I will be prepared for college. No problem.
ReplyDeleteHow I will prepare for college ? I will put 100% in my homework, test, class work, and notes. I Know it will get harder later on but that's why the teachers are there for us. They want us to always do are best. I know sometimes I wont really pay attention in class, but now that I began a new grade ,I will change that. Also I know I have to be more organized becuase that will make my life so much better. Then knowing that you worked your hardest and then you know you did your best. You have to control your futute nobody else can.
ReplyDeleteI agree with daniel(a.k.a the GUNN SHOW!) and kikaaa* because before in Ms.Robinsons class i didn't pay much of attention but now i realize we should unless to be prepared for college. Also being involved more with the conversations to understand the things more. Using your time wisely always helps too. These are the people I agree with.(:

i agree with Jackie Gonzalez, nobody can control your future. Also she is right about us taking our time properly. We cant just turn in work that you just did in a minute. You have to put yout 100% in ALL your work. That's why i agree with Jackie Gonzalez.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you Nataly, because we are the 8th graders, the leaders of PCMS. We need to show the teachers that WE CAN DO THIS!!! Nothing is going to stop us from doing this. When we graduate from Middle School, we will have left a strong and positive legacy.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a great idea to start an internet community. This will give us a head start for our high school career and allow us to be a stronger more connected community. Just imagine what we could accomplish!
ReplyDeleteI agree with every one i know its our time to shine our time to preapere for college.I will use my agenda every day, and i will think how i can do better to preapare for ever class. I will ask a question and ask my friend to help me whit something i dont understand....
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sammuel we have been slakcing off. I will try to use my agenda evryday and keep up with my grades.
ReplyDeleteHow will i prepare college? I will try my best yo do all my home work, be an active listener and keep all of my notes for the future. Stoker, you can help me by explaining the most you can to me and my fellow students the time to prepare is now!
ReplyDeletei agree with being ready for school.i will use my time wisely and will not waste any second of it.
ReplyDeletei will study, work, and pay attention to whatever i'm doing. after all we are pcms this is just one more step higher to collage.
i totally agree with Diana on writing on our agenda our homework that way we can make use of time and be prepared for class.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Melissa Mendoza wee need to pay more attention in class and be more apart of the conversation and spend less time goofing off. wee need to buckle down.
ReplyDeleteHow will i be prepared for college well i first have to get organized and turn all my homework done. i know it will be hard this year but i have to try my best to be successful in life. By doing that i will have to pay attention in class and not day dream in class like i sometimes do. I will also start using my planner which is going to be very usful to me this year it's going to help me to bee more organized.
ReplyDeletei agree with ashley it's a new year which means we have to work really hard and do are best and like Ashley said nobody controls are future we control are futures.
ReplyDeleteI feel honored to be a PCMS student. Project Chrysalis offers us opportunities that other schools don't offer.
ReplyDelete1.First we need successful studying habits.
2.We need to come to school with a positive attitude.
3.We must always be organized and use our agendas to write down homework.
4.We must learn to communicate effectively with teachers and classmates.
5.But most importantly we must be patient and dream on...
-Evelyn Rivera-
Everyone here has a point. I love all the ideas.
ReplyDeleteWe need to get our thinking caps on and focus in school
voy a gastar mi tiempo en la escuela por trabajar duro y hacer preguntas en clase y también necesitamos un additude positivas hacia la escuela y el aprendizaje
ReplyDeleteEstoy de acuerdo con evelyn en mantener una additude positivos
ReplyDeleteHey mr stocker. You are correct in the video because if students don't take school seriously or not prepared there will be no doctors, no government, no anything. Chaos would spread across the would because of our decision. To answer the question I would use every bit of time to learn and study more in pcms by,asking for help, reviewing a topic regularly, and keeping distractions away of our education. We are the future and everybody is counting on us to make the right choice. Success is a choice and i will chose it!
ReplyDeletei agree with Micheal to to listen up because important things teacher could say that will help you on your education
ReplyDeleteLearning is an essential tool to succed in life. its a good idea to start practicing and using good studie habits. my good studie habits include: trying your hardest, being your best, staying on top of the homework, asking for makeup work, asking for help when i need it, participating in class activities and listing and taking notes.
ReplyDeleteARIEL CARTER
Dear Mr. Stocker,
ReplyDeleteyou're question was how we will use our time in PCMS to prepare for college, but i think the real question is what we will do to prepare for life, because life doesn't all just end up in college. We should always keep trying to improve and perfect ourselves(and more{lol}) That's why i say we can prepare for life by doing exactly that. We can strive for better work, a better school, and a better future for us all. Just getting by won't be enough for this, so we do have to work harder, give it all we've got, and make our best work better. Because if we do good work, it not only helps our school; it helps us. We can become organized, not lose ourselves in this difficult path towards reaching success, and not let anything negative affect us. We have to put school first, because if we don't and just go out to party, we'll have a really crappy life when you're older. We have to keep ourselves functioning well, and work and help one another towards a common goal of success, and a better life than we may have now. Because if we don't, what will we have when we're old? What will we have for our children? and our grandchildren? That's what we have to think about, and we have to raise the bar for the next generation, and hopefully, someday, this world will be a better place, and we will have made an impact.
i totally agree with abraham. we all have gotten bad grades, and not all of us are organized. abraham has agood soultion but we as students have to achive it because our future is based on what we do now.
ReplyDelete@Diana i completely agree everyone's idea was great but i would say that Fransisco's comment really made see what i could do at p.c.m.s
ReplyDeletei can prepare myself by trying not to get distracted in class anymore and talking with a teacher when i dont understand something. and ill try to keep in mind that asking questions doesnt make you the dumb one it just makes you the better person for wanting to learn more for the future
ReplyDeleteI think that my time in p.c.m.s will help me get ready for collage by getting me organized and helping me responsible and that i will work hard do achieve many goals.
ReplyDeletei agree with Katz when he said: "follow rules in campus, listen to the teachers, focus in class, pass all my classes, be a good scholar, and by doing this I will be prepared for college." because essentially, it's true. It's a good way of helping ourselves become better students, and better people. You have to try to not just pass your classes, though, you have to get the highest you could possibly get. I also agree with ariel when she says : "its a good idea to start practicing and using good studie habits. " because practice makes perfect! and if we have perfect study habits, we will do way better in life and school. Studying and taking notes well can help you do better on tests, and to be able to set higher goals for yourselves, and if you can reach higher goals, then hey, that's awesome! You'll get paid more in your future job, and heck, who doesn't want that? another person I agree with is Falcon,
ReplyDeleteDreams+Actions=Reality is so true! but it also equals happiness! :D We can all make our dreams reality, if we just believe! that sounds so corny! I'm sorry. But yes, we do have to believe in ourselves to reach success. I'm sure all of u s PCMS students can achieve that. I believe in in all of us.
I will prepare for college by trying my hardest in all my classes and try to remember mostly everything that I was taught so that in a couple of years i will still understand even the basics of some things
ReplyDeleteif we really want to be successful all we have to do is exceed our goals. go to a higher level. but how will we do this if we back down cuz we dont feel like doing work or just not care? listen, dont be a person whos just there and sits in the crowd be someone who is willing to do the impossible and be the leader, on the top. with great work comes great responsibility and im not just getting that from tv or anything. its real life because you cant do good if your irresponsible. it just doesnt fit together so as i said before be the leader and you never what kind of awesome future you will have later on in life.
ReplyDeleteA lot of these students are so right about us preparing for college.I totally agree with Izabelle because we all do need to put all our time and effort in all of our school work . And we all do need to have some fun along the way.
ReplyDelete-Alexa Benavides
being in pcms is a great chance for me to pay attention in class..and be really smart. the hard work we do know will impact our future. hearin this video made me think that i should really start payin more attention in class, and in my homework.if somebody wants to be successful in life you need to work hard, you dont want to be the person having truoble in the future. dont ever give up on your studies because it is a large part of your life
ReplyDelete.:Alan:.
I really agree with jackie gonzalez because you should listen to the teacher and do the work the teacher gives us
ReplyDeletei agree with jackie r. practice does make perfect. and middle school is the time to start thinking about what you want to do with your life and college is the first step.
ReplyDeletei would use my time at project chrysalis by dedicating it more to paying attention at class. i tend to slack off on that, but mainly at disorganization.i need to write my homework on the agenda everyday and start studying more often in everything because success is not a choice if i choose not to put effort in it
ReplyDeletei agree with abraham about losing a paper because i mean who knows that one paper can ruin your future and that a few bad grades, can messup you up here at pcms.we should always be organized and prepared!
ReplyDeleteSo far I think everyone’s right. there’s no way I can say she’s right or he’s right because if we combine all of our thoughts together we will get the best college student ever to step foot on earth and if each of us take advise from one of our brothers and sisters at PCMS we can all get PhDs or even higher degrees than any other student at Yale or Columbia or any other school. We still have about five or four years to go and we need to keep a positive attitude toward everyone and keep on being the smartest of the world. This whole country depends on us and not if we lose but if we win and get diplomas and degrees. I think I couldn’t chose any one for the perfect statement but we are all so close and we should follow our classmates and friends advise of how to be a successful person in life. We just need to believe puff forget believe KNOW that you’ll make a difference here on life and maybe you’ll be the next Steve jobs and create better iPod called Imines or a better thing. If you have troubles learning ask a friend or teacher that why they are there to help you in your needs. Just know if you make something bad like drugs or anything else you wasted your life and definitely will end up in jail for all your life. Most importantly NEVER LEAVE SCHOOL Stick to your plan and make a promise of it because I know some people will forget about in the middle of the year. Print your answer and put it like a poster and every morning read it and do it because this is like helping a sick person because if he dies your life ends and that sick person is you trying to be better at something you could be in life. Overall all your answers are great but combined them they are better than the constitution and the declaration of independence. Just have a positive attitude and try to be yourself and know you got this because if you screw up life ends and all the doors in life will shut and you’ll be trap forever. I know we make mistakes but try to make miner ones not the big one like dropping of not caring and you’ll have the best life in the world. School is important and should do your best and I know you will because PCMS IS THE BOMB!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Alexa because everday in class you SHOULD ALWAYS try your hardest and think about that everything you learn is going to prepare you for college.
ReplyDeleteI would pay more attention in class more frequenty, study a lot, and always do my homework, so i can be prepare and organized for college.
ReplyDeleteI would prepare for college by taking more responsibility and focusing completely in my clases and working really hard to make good grades so I can get in a good collage, but keep working hard once I get there.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Alexa to never forgett what we are tought because that will have us ready for new challenges.
ReplyDeleteI feel really lucky to be a part of PCMS, it really is a unique school and im glad im here. So, the question was, "How can we use our time at PCMS to make sure we are prepared for college?". I think that the best ways to get ready for college is to listen to my teachers and try our best on remembering what they say. We should do our homework each day and turn it in on time, to show responsibility and honor to yourself and to your school. Most important I think we should all work together to accomplish new things. I mean, that's what life is all about. To do our best, work together, and learn from our mistakes.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone here. They all made a point and we should do our best in school no matter what.
ReplyDelete-SArAH-
In the schools I've been too and sixth grade i had slack off. I have a different perspective in the way i think now. I'm not going to be trying to be cool and goof off at class anymore. I will use my time wisely and prepare my self to what ever awaits in the future. I am going to prepare for every single test not only social studies but in every other subject. I will sincerely try my best at doing all my homework and and using my time wisely.
ReplyDeletesincerely, Juan Paulin
I have read through most of the comments and i think that Evelyn Rivera makes a good point I like her comment. The only thing i have to say about it is that dreaming is not going to get you anywhere. You have to plan and start working towards your goals.
ReplyDeleteHi :D...i have been asking my self that question so many times. Now that i think about it,i have always been the tipe of student that got good grades but was very forgetful and inresponsible. I have started the year fresh and im trying my best to be responsible,im using my agenda, and being very organized. I am sure, or atleast i will make sure that i reach collage and mabey even higher, i want to make my family proud and think back to my years at PCMS and i will be very thankful to all of the teachers for making me succesful. I will work hard to become what i want to be when i grow up, and this is a perfect year to start with.
ReplyDeleteto all teachers...
Thank you,

ReplyDeleteI will pay attention to all my class and always do my homework. Also I will never turn in late work. I will also have higher goals for this year. I want to get straight A through out my hole school year. Also I will ask teachers for help when I do not understand a problem.
If I achive my goals i belive this will help me into college. Also this also only wont help me for college but for my futere. What you do now will help you for jobs and schools
I agree with Alejandra Salinas because hard work is practice but ones you get it you are prepered for anything in your way. Working hard is what helps us on many works and projects. Also by paying attention can help us for the rest of our lifes
ReplyDeleteI will listen to everything the teacher says to make sure I have all the information I need. I will also do my best on everything I do and try to bring my homework on time so that I can get credit for it. I will bring the materials needed every day. I think that middle school is the great place to start to prepare for college and also a great place to learn as much as I can from my teachers.
ReplyDelete7-2
I agree with Yvonne because we should always pay attention in class, bring our homework on time, and study a lot for tests.
ReplyDeleteThe way that I would use my time at project chrysalis is I would use the time I have effectively and study everything I know. I could also pay attention and use everything that I learned in class later in college and apply those skills.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Miguel being organized is one of the most important things if we are not organize then we could loss the most important things it is good to be responsible and keep things neat
ReplyDeleteIn My Opinion I Think That The Way I Can Prepare Myself For College Is Paying Attention In Class. Take The Time To Actually Do The Homework The Right Way. Since Is My Last Year AT PCMS I Will Make Sure To Do The Best I Can In Everything. That Will Be A Good Step Of Bing Prepared For College Actually Finishing Middle School Good With A Positive Attitude, And Of course Give 100% Everyday To Every Class.
ReplyDelete-Edely Rivas.
well what I would do is study hard and make sure I understand the material. I will even ask the teachers to help me after school if I need to.I would also turn in my assignments on time.

I Agree With Diana Platas Because Being Strong Minded Can Always Help You. We Also Have Amazing Teachers That We Know That Will Always Be There For Us.
ReplyDeleteI agree on what Alex said we should use our time effectively, overcome our obstacles and prepare for our college.
ReplyDeleteWell what I would do to prepare myself for college? Well theres a couple of things I could do. One is to pay attention in class and to try my best at it. Last year I pretty much gave up on school and started to slack off, but for 7 grade I hope to do the opposite. Another thing is for me to take notes, since Social Studies is complicated for me. Writting the homework on my agenda is another step I should do, since I almost always forget what was the homework. At last it will be for me to let things in my mind go and to focus on school. That is one acomplishment I want to do for Social Studies and any other class. I belive PCMS is a great school to start preparing for college and future goals.

ReplyDeleteI will do all my homework every day,and study hard to get good grades and to pass every grade.Another thing is to ask for help in case i dont know something that we discussed that day.Something else is to trie my hardest every day. That mostly what i would do to prepare myself for college.
What i will do to get prepared for college is not slack off like i ussualy do. And i will try to be responsible for what i do and for what i need to do.I know i dont have to study college material, just get my self prepared for it.

ReplyDeleteI agre with marcos comment because you are suppossed to be neat.
Well i would prepare use my time wisely and ask questions. Take advantages in the opertonities that the school gives us. Like algebra i can be ready next year for hight school and be ahead take classes that help us in college. You help us boost our confidants and make us believe we can make it to college. Use the skills u told us u use during college and the tips u give us.
ReplyDeleteI agree wit falcon(who ever he is)because what we do today is going to form our future. He made me see that what ever it is i have to do my best because, some day it might come in handy.
ReplyDelete-jose alvarado
I agree with Armando the skill u teach us will help us finish hight school and get into a college.
ReplyDeleteHow will I prepare for collage is that I would try to do my best in every class in 7th grade, specially w/ the new teachers that this is their first year in PC. And I agree with Esperanza because it all starts in middle school the whole 'being responsible' so you could make a very strong foundation for the rest of our life.

ReplyDeleteThe way i am prepear for college by thati am doing my best and that i do want to have a good feature.
What I would do to prepare myself for college? There's many ways that i could prepare myself for collage, such as studying really hard for test.If i study i will get a good grade and that will be good.I could also pay more attention in school and stay focus on what i am doing.i will try and will not slack of like i did before for a while. If i don't understand something i will ask questions to my teachers. If i dont understand a subject or a lesson i will ask my teacher to help me and also will study as hard as i could.I will get this goal of being prepared for collage thanks to PCMS and also for my hard work.

i agree with falcon and Jennifer what we do now does affect our future so we better make it right.I also agree with Jennifer that PCMS is a great school to start preparing for college and future goals.
ReplyDeleteThat's A Good Question! I Believe That To Get Prepared For College At PCMS I Need To:Pay More Attention In Class,Ask For Help When Needed,And To Try My Best At EVERYTHING! I Am Never Going To Give Up. No Matter What!
ReplyDelete-Yvette(:
I Agree With With Angelina,Falcon,And Jennifer! What We Do Now Will Affect Our Futures. So We Need To Stop Slacking Off & Really Hit The Books From Now On!

This article opened my eyes, because i used to think that going to college would be hard but not that hard. This made me want to work even harder than ever before to be prepared for college, because without education you are nothing.I read every comment here and i agree to each one of them.So thank you Mr.Stocker for this wonderful information.

i agree with benjamen this does give i deas for the future may it help us
ReplyDeleteTo prepare for college in PCMS I would do my best in a all assignments because before in 7th grade I didnt put effort in work. I will also try to stop leaving homework or projects until the last minute because that makes me get a poor grade. I have to get in my head that school comes first because sometimes I'll watch TV or use the computer instead of doing homework. I will also study for test and quizzes to get a high grade. By doing all this it will help me get prepared for college.
ReplyDeleteI agree With Lara because we should use our time wisely and ask questions to understand everything were learning. And I also agree with Jackie G. because she's right on how nobody can control our future but ourselfs, so if we want to succed we need to do our best in school.
ReplyDeleteThe way I will prepare is by getting my act together, because I know that I slacked off alot in 6th grade and that caused me to get on AIM. I also agree with Lara, because you shouuld use your time wisely, because if you dont then you will just be getting in trouble and trust me you will not want to get on AIM, because it is not a very good thing, and im just saying, because of experience.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone. The one thing I want to cover is something for some reason we struggle on which is HOMEWORK! I think we're not going to be able to get anywhere without doing your homework. I mean it's not that hard to do , but I have to say I had aproblem with that last school year. But, I'm going to change that for sure.
ReplyDeleteI agreee with everybody... I think We should pay more attention and reaching our goals are really really great ideas.
ReplyDelete-Lesley Rizo =)
I agree all the way with Jennifer about all her ideas to prepare for college. Also she wasn't the only one who was slacking off because I saw many people not doing their work and turning in stuff late. For example me.
ReplyDeletewell i would you my spare time at pcms to study or go over things that i just learned that day or things that i am having a hard time on the more i study i will be more prepared to do test homerwork and anything else
ReplyDeletei agree with everyone on their ways we should spend our time to get ready and get good grades instead of not paying attention at all
ReplyDeleteI Would Use My Time More Wisely At Project Chrysalis Middle School. I Would Pay More Attention To The Subject That Were Learinig In Class. Also I Would Ask The Theacher If I Have Any Questions And Always Be Prepare In Class. These Are Some Things I Would Do To Prepare Myself For Collage.
ReplyDelete-Lesley Rizo =)
This question has been asked last year. I said to my self this year is a new year and i have to use this time wisely. I have made the choice to do every thing that i did do last year and that was a big mistake and one of them was to ask questions in class.BY asking questions and understanding what i dont know it would help me to be one step closer to be ready for college.
ReplyDeleteAdriana De La Cruz
I agree with every one. Everyone has great ideas to be ready for college.
ReplyDeleteAdriana De La Cruz
I agree with Marlene. We should stop playing around so much in class. Its time to get serious.
ReplyDeleteWell I will get ready for college by putting more effort in to my work. You can't slack off all your life. Always try your best no matter what.
ReplyDeleteWell that question is really more like a goal we all Monarchs have. I think that a way we can all prepare to be succesful in collage is to be very Respectful and to be Prepared for anything that comes in our way. Because Success is a CHOICE..."CHOOSE IT" when its given to you. Follow your dreams. -Navidh Felix
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jesse we ALL have to put more effort than needed in our work. We become lazzy, but when it really matters, its just to late for us to take a step back and start fresh.

i think that our time here is verry useful because we have a %50 to %50 job wich is %50 learning from the teachers and the other %50 is us applying it and if we really work hard and show what we can do here at PCMS then we will be prepared for collage with all the facts and skills we are getting here.

First of all I will be more focus and open to learning new things. I will use my time wisely. I am willing to learn evry day what you have to teach me. I will also ask questions and be more involved in the lesson you are preparing me for. I will be very cooperative to anything new knowlegde that is offered to me.
ReplyDeleteThank you,

I have to agree with Yvette about asking more questions. I do believe that when you ask questions and pay attention you become more focus and understanding to the lesson you are providing. I will suceed in life following her concept in learning.
ReplyDeleteThankyou,
Brittany Zavala
What would I do to prepare for college? Well something I can do is to pay attention in class everyday. This is because what we learn in class applies to our life daily. I will try the best out of me to get to college and achieve my goals. There might be some obstacles on the way to college, but I will try to get out of them. Another thing is for me to give all that I can since the teachers give 100% attention to us.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Jennifer. She is not the only one who gave up on school for a while. Im sure there is many of us that were in her stuation at some point. We have to be able to think positive and look 100% foward. We should mainly thank the teachers for all there help in this case Mr.Stocker
ReplyDeleteRuby Aguilera :)
I agree with Frankie. I should study and ask for help whenever I don't understand a certain topic during our classtime.
ReplyDeletePreparing for college is hard but Pcms has made us now how college will look like, thanks to the teachears we are what we are, and going to college will be less harder. When you putattetion and be respactful with your classmates and teachers you learn things you never thought about. THANK YOU PCMS! you are the best
ReplyDeleteI agree with doris using your time more wisely and pay more attention at each one of the clases and being organized, will get you very far
ReplyDeleteI wan to go to collage, I hope we all do. If we believe in our self we will reach all our goals. Knowledge is something we all need, and PCMS has it. We are the 1 of a kind, 1 of the best schools and well all know it. My goal is to finish JR. high , high school and college with out a problem.
