Each year students from Spring Arbor University in Michigan visit our campus to learn all about teaching in an urban school setting (such as Houston). This year we are fortunate to welcome 15 teacher-interns to Cage Elementary/Project Chrysalis. Throughout the next couple of weeks these interns will be observing, assisting, and teaching in our classrooms. What a great experience it is to be able to share many of the great attributes of our campuses with the next-generation of teachers. It is truly an enlightening experience to grow and learn together with the Spring Arbor students, both as a campus, and as a profession. Having grown-up in the Midwest, I can attest to many of the differences between schools here in Texas/The South and schools in Minnesota/The North. One thing that we do share in common though is our aspirations to reach new levels of learning than we ever thought possible. Be sure to welcome our new friends into the Cage/Chrysalis family these upcoming weeks Monarchs!
Progressive Thinking,
C.S.
